What is pump installation?

Pump installation is the fitting of a pump, motor, pipes and controls that lift water from your borewell or open well and deliver it to your tank or taps. A borewell only stores water underground. The pump is what brings it up.

A correctly sized and fitted pump gives steady flow, lasts longer and uses less power. A wrong one wastes electricity, burns out early or drains the bore faster than it can recharge.

  • Lifts water from the bore to your tank or taps
  • Matches pump power to bore depth and water level
  • Protects the motor from dry running and power faults
  • Cuts power use and avoids early burnout

Types of water pumps

The right pump depends on where your water sits and how you use it. These are the two main types we install.

Submersible pumps

Installed inside the borewell, fully under water. The motor and pump are sealed as one unit and push water up the rising pipe.

  • Made for deep borewells, including 6" and 8" bores
  • Quiet running and no priming needed
  • Suits homes, farms, apartments and industry
  • Needs a control panel and dry-run protection
Best for borewells

Openwell pumps

Placed at the surface beside an open well, sump or tank, drawing water in through a suction pipe. Monoblock and centrifugal models are common.

  • Made for open wells, sumps, ponds and tanks
  • Easy to reach for servicing
  • Good for moving water between tanks
  • Best where the water is close to the pump
Best for open wells

Submersible pump

A single-phase submersible in your borewell fills the overhead tank. A monoblock pump can move water from a sump to the tank.

Our pump installation process

Four clear steps from choosing the pump to a tested, working supply.

  1. Step 1

    Pump selection

We check bore depth, water level, yield and daily demand, then size the pump and motor.

  2. Step 2

    Fitting

The pump is lowered on a safety rope, with the cable secured neatly along the pipe.

  3. Step 3

    Pipe connections

Rising main, non-return valve, control panel and tank lines are connected and checked for leaks.

  4. Step 4

    Performance testing

We run the pump and measure what it delivers before we hand it over.

What we test before handover

A pump that starts is not always a pump that performs. We confirm each reading on site and explain the results, so you know your system is working as it should.

  • Clean, steady water with no air or sand
  • Safe running with no overload or tripping
  • Written warranty on the pump and our workmanship
